120VAC Input Voltage

For a Compax3 S025V2 or S063V2, apply 120VAC to the X1/L (line) and X1/N (Neutral) terminals. 

No changes to the configuration are necessary (though the drive voltage rating will state 230V, operation at 120VAC is also supported).

The other drive models require 230V or above (120VAC operation is only supported on the S025V2 and S063V3 models).

DC Input Voltage

Yes, the Compax3 can be operated with DC voltage.

For less than 70vdc, disable the Compax3's error reaction to DC link voltage too low (bus under voltage) in the Drive Configuration:

Without disabling this, 0x3222 DC link voltage too low (3222h12834d) error will occur.

For a Compax3 S025V2 or S063V2 servo, dc voltage can be applied to the x1 connector:

+24vdc to x1/L (line)

dc common to x1/N (neutral)

These are bridge rectified so even if these were reversed, it bypasses the rectifier and goes straight to the DC bus voltage.

 

For the 3phase 240VAC input drives (S100V2, S150V2), the HV+ and HV- would be used for DC input:

For the 3phase 400/480VAC input drives (S038V4, S075V4, S150V4, S300V4), the HV+ and HV- would be used for DC input:

It's good practice to limit the speed in the drive configuration (Monitoring/Limits has Max Operating Speed):

Other than deactivating the drive's Error Reaction: Bus Voltage too low VAC in the Drive Configuration, no other changes are needed.
