Some devices may have Ethernet communications issues if there are unsolicited UDP network packets on the network.
On the MSDOS PowerStations that run Interact, to facilitate some Interact networking utilities, the TCPIP settings are configured to broadcast its name in a UDP message.
The content of the message is something like:
"CTCTCPIPCTC" text + Ip address of local panel. UDP port=65528
In the \net folder on the CF PowerStation CF card, there is a file called TCPIP.ini
Open this file in an editor and it should look like this:
[TCP/IP]
APIInt=0xFB
EnableTCPIP=1
HostName=PARKER
IDBroadcastPort=0xFFF8
IDBroadcastSeconds=10
Buffers=25
The two items in Red control the UDP message broadcast. Set the ...Seconds = 0 to shut off the UDP broadcast.
