In order to upload or download an X-language program from XWare or any other terminal emulator software, the user needs to Kill the current program that is running. This can be done in the terminal with the K command.

Before Killing the program, the R command will return a *B or *C if a program is running. Once the program is Killed, then the R command will return either a *R or *S.

Be sure that only capital letters are used and that an address is used in front of the R command (i.e. 1R, 2R, etc.)

The E command may also be needed to enable the communications.

For more help on communication, please see the FAQ for "RS232 Troubleshooting for X-Language Products."
