PAC120 - Extender Module Required for Drive & I/O Nodes - EtherCAT
To utilize the PAC120 with drives and/or remote I/O nodes, you must use the PACIO-400-02 Extender module. Using an extender module enables the ability of controlling external EtherCAT slaves.
Within the program the Extender Module will need to be attached to the EtherCAT Master. Subsequently, the external EtherCAT device can be attached to Outputs of the extender module. For diagrams setup procedures, please see the manual.
The Extender is not to be confused with the PACIO-400-00 Bus Coupler, which instead is utilized in conjunction with the Extender to create a remote I/O node. Tethered through an ethernet cable such as in the below example.
