InteractX Misc - Is InteractX Version 1.X, 2.X OR 3.X Compatible with Windows 7 or Later?

NOTE - WE ARE NO LONGER SUPPORTING THE 1.X, 2.X, OR 3.X VERSIONS OF LICENSING.  THE ABILITY TO RE-REGISTER EXISTING LICENSES THAT HAVE FAILED OR NEED TO BE MOVED TO A HARD DRIVE FAILURE, ETC IS NO LONGER OFFERED OR SUPPORTED.  UPGRADING TO VERISON 4.X IS THE ONLY OPTION OFFERED.

THE INFORMATION BELOW IS FOR ARCHIVAL REFERENCE ONLY.

InteractX Versions 1.x, 2.x and 3.x are not compatible with Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit or Later.  It is recommended to run these versions of software on a dedicated Windows XP PC.

If you choose to use a virtual XP environment in Windows 7, keep in mind that CTC issued USB Dongle was sometimes REQUIRED to house the InteractX license if the Virtual Machine installation would not maintain the license stored on the hard drive.  These dongles are no longer manufactured and our stockpile has long been exhausted and is no longer offered for sale by Parker, therefore if you do not have one in your possession, a dedicated Windows XP machine is the only option. When using a Virtual Machine, be sure to set the disk size as FIXED so it does not dynamically change the size of the hard drive to have the greatest chance of getting the soft license to work.

If you are unable to get an XP PC or the XP Virtual machine will not hold the license, there is no other option than upgrading to the latest version of InteractX 4.1 which runs in Windows XP, Windows 7 32/64 bit and Windows 10 64 bit. Upgrading the development will require upgrading any runtime systems to the same version to be able to run the upgraded applications.

InteractX 4.x uses a new style USB security rather than the old "soft license" stored on the hard drive. The USB key must remain plugged in while InteractX is running.
