What Drives Can Work with a DC Brushed Motor?

The only available product capable of driving a DC Brushed Motor is the 590+, a ‘variable frequency drive’ that is capable of Velocity or Torque control, but not Positioning. New applications should not utilize DC Brushed Motors. Replacement of drives that ran a DC Brushed Motor, should usually be migrated forward to AC Induction, PMAC, or Stepper Solutions.
The Aries Family, Gemini Family, TQ10X, TQ10SD, TQ10, OEM670X, OEM670T, OEM670SD, OEM675X, OEM675T, OEM675SD, OEM770T, OEM770X, OEM770SD and ViX Series could all run a DC brushed motor. Please refer to other FAQs for instructions on how to connect brushed motors to each of these drives.
Please note that the Aries family and the Gemini Family in velocity or position mode (or controller Gemini versions) do require encoder feedback to the drive.
