Setting / Changing the Configuration (X60) Port IP Address in the PSD

Note - These steps apply to a PSD which has the default IP address. If the IP address has been changed from the default setting, or you are unable to connect to the drive please see the article for how to reset the PSD to the default IP address.

Changing the last octet of the IP Address

The default IP Address of the PSD is 192.168.10.2. In order to change the last octet of the IP address use the dials S12 and S13 on the front of the drive.

The dials represent the hexidecimal value 0-255. Values 1-240 (0xF0) are valid values for the last octet; values 241-255 are reserved.

Example of switch settings:

Switch S12 is set to 2 and switch S13 is set to 1.

Example: S12=2, S13=1

Address= 0x21: S12*16 + S13 = 2*16 + 1 = 33

New IP Address: 192.168.10.33

After setting the switches, perform a power cycle and the new address will be active.

Changing the complete IP Address

PSD Servomanager is used to change the complete IP address. A communication path to the drive must be active in order to set the address.

Once the communication path is active, click on "Change PSD config port settings" under "Device Connection" in PSD ServoManager.

Set the DIP switches S12 and S13 to 0. Then power cycle the drive. The new IP address will be set in the drive and PSD ServoManager. After changing the IP settings of the PC's network card the user will be able to connect to the drive and continue configuration.
