GKP Password Setup and Usage

For the AC30 units, access to some of the parameters and menus can be locked down by implementing the GKP Password feature.  This parameter defaults to 0000 which has this feature disabled.  There are two menus where the GKP Password value is accessible but these two menus have different functions.

Menu Paths

Setup -> Environment -> GKP Password

This menu allows you to temporarily unlock the unit by entering a previously configured password (if one was configured).

There are a few methods to re-enable it but a power cycle will as well.  Also exiting up to the top keypad level and clicking the Soft Key 2 (which shows a 'key' symbol).

This menu does not allow you to actual set the password or change it.

Parameters -> Keypad -> Graphical Keypad -> GKP Password

This is the menu you use to initially set the GKP Password or edit the GKP Password if it was previously set to a non-zero value.

This new password will be active once you enter it (power cycle not required) so use caution and record what you configure the 4 digit number to.

This menu is also where you can set the value back to 0000 to disable the feature (and if Auto Save is enabled that's all you need to do).  After a power cycle the keypad password will be disabled.  You first need to enter in the actually configured password (unless its 0000), then you can 'enter' the 0000 value and this will disable the GKP Password feature.
