Is Xware Compatible With Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP?

You must use Xware 6.0.4 or above to be compatible with Windows 98SE*/ME/NT/2000/XP.

Xware 5.1 is not compatible with newer versions of Windows operating systems. When trying to connect to your product you may experience an error message "bad baud rate or ground".

Unlike Windows 95, which was a graphical environment that ran on top of MS-DOS, these newer versions of Windows are a complete operating system. Since X-ware 5.1 is a MS-DOS based program, it is not compatible with 98SE/ME/NT/2000/XP and should not be used in this type of system.
