How can the AC30 be programmed?

For software download (DSELite or PDQ) consult this FAQ: Software download for the AC30 and Cable to use.

  1. For basic configurations, the AC30 can be configured using the graphical keypad

  2. For most other configurations, there are two different versions of firmware for the AC30 that dictate which software to use. One is DSE(LinkNet), the other CoDeSys  

    1. For LINKnet firmware of the AC30, it can be configured using DSE or DSELite software. (This firmware is standard, after July2022) 

      1. For LINKnet protocol configurations, the AC30 will use the fuller DSE software for networking drives together

    2. For CODESYS versions of the AC30: Users will use the Parker Drive Quicktool (PDQ) software. 

      1. PDQ is advised for the overwhelming majority of the projects using Codesys-based firmware

        1. Intense configurations may be created by users with an extensive technical knowledge of CoDeSys and IEC61131-3 programming using the Parker Drive Development (PDD) package within Parker Automation Manager (PAM)
