With version 1.3.0 of the PAC, scanner/adapter functionality is now available.

Previously, 1.2.1 firmware could only produce (write) tags to the AB plcs but cannot consume (read) tags. No hardware changes are necessary and units can be upgraded in the field via the flashback utility on the PAC product page.
