6K Troubleshooting - Why Is My Analog Input Card Not Working Properly?
6K Troubleshooting - Why Is My Analog Input Card Not Working Properly?
All analog input cards must be placed in a slot before any digital input cards in the EVM32. It is best to put the analog input card in slot one. It has been observed that when a digital input card is placed before an analog input card, the analog input card will behave erratically. There are at least three modes of failure and the mode of failure is dependent on the digital input card and can not be predicted.
Mode 1: reported voltage is doubled.
Mode 2: reported voltage drops to zero at particular voltages (usually at 2.5V and 5.0V).
Mode 3: random differences in actual voltage and reported voltage.
In all these cases, putting the analog input card before the digital input card results in the analog input card reporting correct voltages.
