6K Troubleshooting - TASF BIT 14 -- Drive Fault Occurred

This bit activates when the 6K controller's Drive Fault input goes active. The Drive Fault input typically comes from the drive as a way for the drive to tell the controller that something is wrong. For example, the drive could be over-heating, short-circuiting, or just not have enough power applied to it.

REMEDIES

  1. Check the drive for faults.

  2. Make sure the 6K's Drive Fault Level (DRFLVL) is set correctly for the drive's output.

  3. Disable the 6K's drive input with the DRFEN command. Only do this if you are willing to ignore any indication that the drive has a problem.
