6K Hardware - Where is The Outdiode Connection?
The outdiode no longer exists.
The current 6K Hardware Installation Guides show the OUTDIODE pin on the 6K wiring of an inductive load. This pin is actually silkscreened as RESERVED. This pin does not contain a diode, it contains an unconnected pin.
The correct way to wire an inductive load is to add a flyback diode (standard diode with a voltage and current rating that exceeds that of your inductive device ratings.) This flyback diode must be placed across the load as shown in the 6K manual, but do not connect to the OUTDIODE or RESERVE pin, it is a unconnected pin.
