6K Misc - Completely Reset the 6K to Factory Default via Software

To clear all memory from the 6K via software including programs and all parameters stored in non-volatile memory, in the terminal window of Motion Planner, type MEMCLR. Then type in RESET. This will force a memory error.

After a few seconds, the 6K will come back with:

*PARKER COMPUMOTOR 6K4 MOTION CONTROLLER
*****NON-VOLATILE PROGRAM MEMORY WAS CLEARED*****
*****NON-VOLATILE COMPILED MEMORY WAS CLEARED*****
*****NON-VOLATILE PARAMETER MEMORY WAS CLEARED*****

Or via hardware: remove the battery from inside the unit. It may be easier to slide a business card under the battery (for 30 seconds) than to remove the battery - to prevent breaking the clips.
