In Windows 95, the ARP -S command can be added to the Autoexec.bat file.

Under Windows NT, there is no autoexec.bat file. So, we create a batch file; let's call it 6kARP.BAT. The batch file is created in Notepad and saved in the root directory of the C: Drive. Using Windows explorer locate the 6kARP.bat file and copy it, then paste a 'short-cut' into the StartUp directory. Under Windows NT there are several StartUp directories for the various user configurations that are supported. We generally have used the Administrators or All Users locations. By way of example, we can paste the short-cut into the

WinNT\Profiles\AllUsers\StartMenu\Programs\StartUp

directory allowing all users to statically map the IP and MAC addresses whenever the PC is booted-up.
