Issuing a kill (!K) causes a 30-60 second loss of communication between the Motion Panel and 6K. The Ethernet port "talk" LED will change to a slower flashing rate.
This is due to an incompatibility between certain versions of the CMOT driver of the CTC Panel and the 6K operating system.
To correct this problem:
a. Ensure that that your 6K operating system is version 5.2.1 or later. If not, upgrade to the newest 6K operating system which is available on our website. NEVER use an older version of O.S. than what came pre-installed on your 6K.
b. Ensure that you are using the latest CMOT driver (version 6.04 or higher.)
To see what version of CMOT drivers your application is using:
Right-click on CMOT.DLL file in the MACHSHOP\INTERACT\DRIVERS\CMOT directory.
Select PROPERTIES.
Select the VERSION tab.
Version number should be EX-82998-604 (ver. 6.04) or higher. Date on the files in the ...\DRIVERS\CMOT directory should be October 2000 or later.
