Changing the positive direction requires multiple changes to the motor files, read here for details. P Series with incremental encoder - changing motion direction
Low Voltage Operation Setting for PD-04x Only
To operate the P series drives at low DC voltages there are additional software and wiring steps that must be conducted to ensure proper operating conditions.
Note - the Control Power (C1/C2) still require either 120VAC or 230VAC input power and cannot be powered from DC input voltage.
In Drive Support Tool software do the following:
Hold the Alt key and then click the Engineering Setup (blue down arrow icon in toolbar).
This will open a window allowing for the lower voltage configuration.
Select the "Allow low voltage DC input" checkbox.
Then click the Flash Save button (EEPROM icon).
DC Input Power Connections
Remove factory installed jumper from PO/PI
Apply 24-80VDC to PI and N [this is the voltage supply for the motor}
Control power C1/C2 requires 110-230VAC single phase
Motor phases U,V,W connect to the standard connector as you would normally

Current Loop Gain Setting
The default current loop gain settings of 100% too high for DC input operation. The symptom will be a high frequency audible noise from the motor when enabled . This gain can be lowered using the P Series Drive Support software in the "Trace / Trigger Monitor" screen via the Gain Window button. See screen shot below. For 48Vdc bus voltages, a value around 50% will be appropriate and for 24Vdc bus voltages a value of around 25% will be appropriate.
