Is There a Windows 7 / Windows 10 Driver for My PHM / PM1 Touchscreen Interface?

NOTE: CDs are no longer shipped with these products. Downloading them from the links provides you with the latest drivers available for your OS.

Yes, there are drivers for the PHM. The TSHARC driver (Ver 6.20cs) that we include on the PHM CD is a legacy driver that supports Win2K and WinXP and it does work with Win7.

Additional Options:

Microchip has newer TSHARC drivers such as the (UniWinDriver 7.08) that will support WinXP and Win7, but not Win2K. It should also support Windows 10. We have not yet officially qualified this latest driver, nor do we include it on the CD. In addition to the UniWinDriver, there is a newer Touchbase UPDD driver also available.

In the mean time, customers can download the latest drivers here, under the "TSHARC Drivers and Driver Manuals" tab:

No for the PM1. The UPDD driver we have for the PM1 does not work in Windows 7 or beyond. The PM1 was only in production and sold during the time Windows XP was available and the version we are licensed to distribute is only for Windows XP. To use a PM1 with Windows 7 and newer, you will need to purchase a new driver from Touchbase licensed for your required OS.

The Touchbase website has versions for various OS versions and you can buy the new driver and get it delivered electronically from Touchbase.
