Upgrading from a HPC/HPX to a IPC/IPX

The IPC/IPX series of Windows HMIs is the replacement for the HPC/HPX series, and in some cases the EPX series.

Display: All IPC/IPX models include TFT displays. TFT displays utilize active matrix technology and feature transistors on every pixel. TFT displays offer wider viewing angles, brighter backlights and longer bulb life.

Cutouts: Cutouts are slightly different, however ALL IPC/IPX units will fit existing HPC/HPX mounting with no adjustments.

HPC/HPX Dimensions IPC/IPX Dimensions

Available Sizes: 10 inch, 15 inch and 17inch. 15inch also includes a stainless steel bezel option.

CPU: IPC/IPX has two CPU options. They include the standard CPU with a 2.0 GHz Celeron M550 processor or the premium CPU with a 2.2 GHz T7500 Core2Duo processor. The HPC/HPX included a 2.0 GHz Celeron processor or a 2.8 GHz Pentium 4 processor.

Operating System: IPC/IPX comes standard with Windows XP Professional. The HPC/HPX came with the option for either Windows XP Professional or Windows 2000.

Hard drive: IPC/IPX can be ordered with either a 160 GB hard drive or a 80 GB solid state drive.

Additional Storage: IPC/IPX does NOT have an option for additional storage on a compact flash card. HPC/HPX did have this option.

Keyboard/Mouse: IPC/IPX has 2 PS/2 ports and 4 USB ports just like the HPC/HPX.

Power Requirement: IPC/IPX requires 100-240VAC; 50/60 Hz. HPC/HPX had the option of 100-240VAC or 24VDC. IPC/IPX does not have a 24VDC option.

InteractX (For IPX units Only): The IPX comes preinstalled with InteractX version 3.6 runtime HMI software. The HPX units shipped with InteractX version 2.X.
