Product Change

The brand name, description and packaging for the recommended grease used for the re-lubrication of the linear bearings and/or ballscrews (p/n 003-3686-30)  is changing for the mechanics products listed below:

 

  • 406XR and 412XR

    • 412LXR

    • 404XE

    • HD085, HD125, HD185

Previous brand/description: Alvania RL2

New brand/description: Gadus S2 V100 2

 

This change will be implemented immediately.

 

Change Reason

In the past, our grease manufacturer, Shell, practiced a marketing strategy known as "versioning" where they sold identical products under two separate brand names.  Shell has decided to standardize on one brand name moving forward, Gadus S2 V100 2. 

 

Change Impact

We are changing the description of the recommended grease for the products listed above to the new Gadus brand name, but our internal part number will remain the same (003-3686-30).  As mentioned above, the greases are identical products so there will be no performance impact associated with this change.
