iBE Minimum Connections to Make Motion

The minimum connections needed to make motion in the iBE series motors are 48VDC for the bus and logic and communication for RS232. These are all located on the 7-pin connector. The software used with the iBE series motors is iWare. This software is free and can be download from our website at:

The I/Os, the 5VDC for the I/Os and additional communication channel for RS232 or can be configured for RS485 are not necessary for making simple motion. For use of the I/Os and configuring the additional communication channel, please refer to the iSeries User Guide.
