How Do I Save My Project in Virtual Engineer?

Saving Your Project

The system will track your progress as you move through sizing and configuring products, but you will need to save your project in order to have it retained by Virtual Engineer, allowing you to leave and return to your project later.

There are two places where you have the opportunity to save your project.

SAVE PROGRESS

(within Virtual Engineer Size and Select tool) - While you are using the Virtual Engineer Size and Select tool, you can save your progress at any point to have the system record your application requirements. To save, simply press the "SAVE PROGRESS" button. This is optional. For example, if you have entered enough information to select a part for configuration, you may proceed with configuring the part without saving your progress. This is because you will have opportunities to save later in the process.

SAVE

(within eConfigurator) - While you are configuring your product you will see a "SAVE" button. You can use this at any time to save your progress. You can save once you've completed configuration or save your partially configured part so that you may return to finish configuring it at a later time.

Once you save, you will need to be logged in to your Parker account. If you are not logged in, the system will prompt you for your User ID and Password.

You will then arrive at the "MY PROJECTS" area. There, you will be given the opportunity to choose where you want to save your progress. This will be to either a new or existing Project / System / Element. The part that you are in the midst of is an "Element". There can be multiple Elements in a System and multiple Systems in a Project. A dialogue box will appear that will allow you to select an existing Project / System / Element or enable you to create and name a new one. Note: saving your part to an existing Element will overwrite the one that's currently there. In this case, you will be given a warning before the overwrite happens.

Once you've chosen the location for your new part, a part card will appear showing you as much information as it can considering how far you've progressed. If you've fully sized, selected and configured your part you will see a wealth of information about your part.

If however you have only begun inputting your application requirements and have not even selected a part yet, the part card will show you this status and allow you to. "RETURN TO SIZE AND SELECT."
