The ZX-Series product line incorporates battery backed RAM to store programs and parameter settings. While the battery which sustains the ZX memory has been seen to last up to ten years, they can dissipate over shorter periods of time - especially if the ZX is left unpowered for extended time intervals.
If it is determined that the battery has failed in your ZX unit, use a Panasonic BR2032 3V lithium battery or some equivalent. Please contact the Compumotor Applications Department at 1-800-358-9070 for instructions on how to access and replace this battery in the ZX product.
