Z Compax Misc - Wiring Compumotor Servo Motors to Hauser Drives (Compax And SV)

There are currently individual cables and cable sets available specifically designed to connect Compumotor Servo Motors (BE, SM, NeoMetric, J-Series) with "MS" Style connectors (not "PS" Style) to Hauser (Compax, SV) drives.

THIS WIRING DOES NOT APPLY TO THE COMPAX3 or the M-Series and MPM Series of servo motors.

It is also possible to connect standard Compumotor servo motor cables and cable sets from to Hauser drives. Please use the following table:

For MS connector pinout information, please consult the proper motor series section of the online catalog. Or, consult the hard copy of the catalog in the Wiring and Cable Specifications section of each series motor. For the M-Series motors please use the following wire convention: For the M-series motors, you must also set P129 to a value of +180 degrees in the Compax (this is NOT default)!!Please note that BE 16 frame motors do not have the temperature switch implemented into the motor due to the smaller frame size. When configuring an amplifier for a BE 16 frame motor, be sure to disable the thermal switch checking. If using an Aries Drive with Aries Support Tool, this is the default setting for the configuration wizard. The command to double-check this is DTHERM. To disable thermal checking is DTHERM1. If using a Gemini Drive with Motion Planner, this is the default setting for the configuration wizard. The command to double-check this is DTHERM. To disable thermal checking is DTHERM1.
