GSDML (General Station Description Markup Language, XML based) is the device description technology for PROFINET. Files are available for import into PLC software.

These block simplify the control of a PSD SERVODRIVE (with PROFIdrive profile) with the S7. The blocks receive commands and set values. The block distributes messages and actual values to/from the drive.

Set-up via PSD Servo Manager

Selecting the operation mode in the PROFINET section of PSD Manager will map the IO data channel between the PLC and the PSD. The mappings will match the settings in the above function blocks.
