Projects created in DSI3 are not backwards compatible into DSI8000.

Projects created in DSI8000 are not forward compatible to work in DSI3.

 

The import functionality to convert a DSI8000 project into DSI3 will only take most of the tags. A full redesign into DSI3 is most common. This is not normally recommended Post 2019. The TS8000 as a whole has gone through a Last Time Buy period (see the sidebar). Instead, migrating a DSI8000 OR DSI3 project into a RedLion HMI file formats is discussed in the sidebar (see the TS8000 subsection adjacent to this FAQ).
