Gearhead Replacements - Daedal Replacement PEN, PER, PTN, PTR

For the precision Daedal gearheads, the recommended replacements are:

PEN

PEN60 is PV60FN
PEN23 is PV23FE

PEN90 is PV90
PEN34 is PV34FE

PEN115 is PV115FN
PEN42 is PV42FE

PER

PER60 is RX60
PER23 is RX23

PER90 is RX90
PER34 is RX34

PER115 is RX115
PER42 is RX42

PTN

PTN40 is PV40TN
PTN60 is PV60TN
PTN80 is PV90TN
PTN120 is PV115TN

Note the PTN and PTR are on a different worksheet in this spreadsheet.

Dimensional comparison presumes standard S7 output shaft option.
Custom gearboxes with lower backlash for high-accuracy applications are available.
Custom gearboxes with shorter output shaft lengths for drop-in replacement are available.

Note that the Stealth PS/PX/RS/RX and Value-Line PV gearheads and mounting kits are purchased as separate items:
Example1 - inline 60mm frame:

  1. PV60FN-010.....Inline ValueLine PV gearhead, 60mm metric, Flange Face mount, Neugart dimensions, 10:1 ratio

  2. MV60-047.........Mounting kit

The PV series gearheads use the MV mounting kits. The MV60-047 is the mounting kit for the SM23 motors and MV60-001 is the mounting kit for the BE23 motors.

Note that the PV23 is the PV60 gearhead with NEMA23 output face but the input side is the same and also uses the MU60 mounting kit.

Example2 - right-angle 60mm frame:

  1. RX60-010-S2.....Right-Angle Stealth gearhead, 60mm metric, 10:1 ratio, Standard backlash, Gen II

  2. MU60-059.........Mounting kit

The Stealth Gen II PS/PX/RS/RX gearheads use the MU mounting kits.
The MU60-059 is the mounting kit for the SM23 motors and MU60-005 is the mounting kit for the BE23 motors.

Note that the RX23 is the RX60 gearhead with NEMA23 output face but the input side is the same and also uses the MU60 mounting kit.
Example3 - inline 90mm frame:

  1. PV90FN-010.....Inline Valueline, 90mm frame, Flange mount, Neugart face dimensions, 10:1 ratio

  2. MV90-005.........Mounting kit

The MV90-005 is the mounting kit for the BE34 motor.

Example4 - right angle 90mm frame:

  1. RX90-010-L2.....Right-Angle Stealth, 90mm frame, 10:1 ratio, low backlash, Gen II

  2. MU90-005.........Mounting kit

The MU90-005 is the mounting kit for the BE34 motor.

Note that the RX34 is the RX90mm gearhead with NEMA34 output face but the input side is the same and also uses the MU90 mounting kit.

 

When ordered together on the same order as consecutive line items, the mounting kit will be attached to the gearhead and bushing inserted inside the pinion. Hardware to fit the motor to the adapter is also provided.
