Best Practices for PAC and Embedded Xpress Development

  • Make sure there's a project on the PAC first before connect to Xpress.

  • Tags Will Update during Online and Download updates

  • Before doing an Update, Close your Embedded Browser (Exit to the shell)

  • After the Download is finished make sure the controller is in Run Mode, and Reopen your Xpress Browser

  • This also applies when doing Resets from the Online Menu

  • It may be necessary to Sign back in to Xpress, or to Click on the Xpress Home key and/or the Browser Refresh key

  • Before going live with a project, Make sure the “Auto Generate PLC Tags” Box is unchecked from the PAC Config Tool
