Scaling with the 6000 Products

If you are having problems with scaling in the 6000 products, the most common cause is not having the scaling factors both inside and outside of your start up program. The one rule about scaling to remember is that the scale factors need to be set both in the program and also set when the program is downloaded. By placing the scale factors before the DEL and DEF, this will ensure the factors will get set on the download. This is because any commands outside of DEF and END are executed when you download.

Below is an example of what your program should look like in the Editor.

SCLA50000,50000
SCLV50000,50000
SCLD50000,50000

*When using Motion Planner with the Zeta controller, you will need to download the program twice for the new scaling parameters to take effect. Alternatively, you can enter the scaling into the terminal window directly for them to take effect.  Motion Architect is the software package designed to work with the Zeta controller and scaling is handled differently when using Motion Planner with Zeta.
