Static Sensitive

All ACR controller cards contain Static Sensitive components and require the proper precautions when handling. All cards are shipped in Static Shielding protective bags and should be kept in these bags until installed in the system they are to be used in.

When removing from the bag and installing, use a grounding strap at all times. Assure the grounding source does have a solid connection to earth ground.

Do not place the ACR controller card on surfaces that can store static charges such as plastic, paper, or wood. The Static Shielding bag should be kept for use if the ACR controller is removed or replaced for any reason.

Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) can cause damage to a static sensitive device that is not apparent immediately. Damage may occur but the effect of that damage may not seen for weeks or months.
