Legacy Product Page - ACROLOOP Controllers

INTRODUCTION

The Acroloop motion controller product line was a series of motion control cards manufactured between the 1990s and early 2000s. While the original PC cards are all discontinued, the ACR platform lives on in the newer ACR7000 and IPA product lines. An overview of legacy ACR controllers can be found here:

ACR Controllers Overview

MODELS

There were several models of ACR card. Cards were differentiated by their axis count, bus style (ISA or PCI) and various other features. There were also accessories for the ACR line as well as a chassis form factor for the ACR1200. A collection of relevant catalogs is presented below.

REPLACEMENT OPTIONS

The controllers covered in this article are nearly all PC-card controllers that fit into ISA or PCI slots. Parker no longer manufactures any card-style controllers. Newer ACR controllers like the ACR7000 series use Ethernet communications instead. Any replacement requires significant reengineering for any new controller.

SOFTWARE
