Compax3 Misc - I10T10 Jogging & Position in the Optimization Tool

When the I10T10 is in one of the Torque control modes, which is chosen in the Control Mode option of the I10T10 Drive Configuration Wizard, the Jog function of the Optimization Tool Setup Screen (lower right quadrant)does not move the motor continually. Every time you hit (and hold) the jog button, the motor will make a short move in that direction, approximately a quarter revolution (the move distance does vary).

In Velocity or Position control modes, the Jog buttons will move the motor in the direction specified by the Jog button chosen, continually, as long as the button is held. However, by default, the Jog parameters (speed, acceleration, & Jerk) are set to 0, so they must be changed to valid values in the Optimization Tool Parameter Screen (lower right quadrant) prior to jogging the motor.

Since the Position tree is empty in the Optimiization Tool Status Values Screen (lower right quadrant), if we want to look at positional information, we will need to fill the Optimiization Tool Status Display Screen (upper right quadrant) manually. To acheive this, we need to choose the Optimization Tool Optimization tab (lower left quadrant). In the Optimization Tool Optimization tab, there is a white text box where we can enter commands manually. In order to setup the Optimiization Tool Status Display Screen, please enter the following 3 commands in the text box (you will only be able to enter them one line at a time):
:STA SET 1;680;5
:STA SET 2;680;4
:STA SET 3;680;6
This will display Actual Position[object 680.5], Target Position [object 680.4], and Position Tracking Error [obect 680.6] in the Optimiization Tool Status Display Screen.
