RS232 Electrical Noise on Older 9000 Controllers

If you are using the 9000 controller, communicating via RS232 and you are experiencing noise related issues on your RS232 communications such as garbage characters, your unit may need to be upgraded.
There were enhancements made to the RS232 circuitry on the 9000 controller to help isolate the RS232 circuit from electrical noise. The enhancement was implemented on October 26, 2006. If your 9000 controller has a serial number date code of 061026xxxxx or earlier, and you have these noise symptoms, please contact our Applications Department at 800-358-9070.
