WINDING OPTIONS

CONFIGURATIONS THAT OPTIMIZE KE

For each physical size kit motor (one given diameter and stack length) Parker offers approximately 15 winding options to meet a very wide range of Ke requirements. The catalog (linked below) detail 3 of those winding options, but you can ask a Parker Hannifin Applications Engineer for assistance if one of those windings does not meet your speed needs.

WYE/DELTA CONFIGURATION

Parker typically offers the Wye configuration for all kit motors by default. In the event the "fastest" Wye configuration does not quite meet your need, we can switch to a Delta configuration to further improve the motor's speed performance.

COMM BOARD

Parker offers an analog hall sensor board for all diameter sizes except the K178. You can find more details on the board, signal specification, and wiring colors by referencing the catalog linked below.

SLEEVING FOR SPEEDS BEYOND MAX MECHANICAL SPEED

Each motor has a given mechanical speed limit detailed in the chart above. The adhesive that bonds the magnets to the rotor yoke has a stress limit, and centripetal forces pull the magnets away from the yoke. In the even you need to run the motor beyond the mechanical limit given above, Parker can customize the rotor with a stainless sleeve to better counteract those forces.
