The 6K with a serial number equal to or later than 120815nnnn must use version 7.x or later due to a hardware design change released August 15, 2012

The 6K with a serial number 00102200000 through 120814nnnn requires version 5.1.3 to 6.5.2 due to a hardware design change released October 22, 2000

The 6K with a serial number 00102200000 or earlier must use 5.1.2 or earlier

The Gemini GV6K or GT6K with a serial number equal to or later than 120827nnnn must use version 7.x or later due to a hardware design change released August 27, 2012

The GV6K or GT6K with a serial number 120826nnnn or earlier requires version 6.0.3 to 6.5.2

Note - The 6K and GV6K/GT6K use the same operating system (firmware) as of the 6.x releases (5.x releases did not support the GV6K / GT6K platforms).

 

Serial Number code starts with yymmdd  (yy = year, mm = month, dd = day)
