Q: Can you convert a resolver feedback signal (coming into a Gemini drive) to an encoder signal that can be output, from the Gemini drive, to a controller or PLC controller?
A: Yes. Regardless of whether the Gemini drive is configured for aceepting resolver or encoder information as the feedback device, the signals coming into the Gemini drive are either left as native encoder counts (when ERES = ORES), or are converted to "pseudo" encoder counts. Either way, the Gemini drive will output an encoder signal to whatever controller or device that is connected to the Gemini drive's encoder output pins (Pins 14-19 on the Gemini DRIVE I/O connector).
