Gemini Maximum Frequency Input and Output
The table below contains the maximum input command frequency (50 pin connector, pins 8-11) and output pulse frequency (50 pin connector, pins 14-17) for the Gemini Family:
 | Maximum Input Frequency (pins 8-11) | Maximum Output Frequency (pins 14-17) | ||
 | Encoder | Step Pulse | If Encoder Input Used | If Step Pulse Input Used |
GV | 2 MHz pre-quad encoder | 2 MHz | 2.5 MHz post-quad encoder | 2.5 MHz post-quad encoder |
GV6 | N/A | N/A | 2.5 MHz post-quad encoder | 2.5 MHz post-quad encoder |
GV6K | N/A | N/A | 2.5 MHz post-quad encoder | 2.5 MHz post-quad encoder |
GT | 2 MHz pre-quad encoder | 2 MHz | 625 KHz step pulse | 625 KHz step pulse |
GT6 | N/A | N/A | 625 KHz step pulse | 625 KHz step pulse |
GT6K | N/A | N/A | 625 KHz step pulse | 625 KHz step pulse |

Note: If ORES=ERES for GV, GV6 and GV6K, maximum output frequency is 8 MHz post-quad (2 MHz pre-quad).
The GV, GV6 and GV6K maximum feedback frequency (26 pin connector, pins 5-8) is 2 MHz pre-quadrature and 8 MHz post-quadrature.
